• Start and finish at Troodos square.
  • Lowest point 837m and highest point 1,870m.
  • Elevation gain 4,326 m.
  • Starting time 4:00 a.m. with a seventeen-hour cut off (9:00pm).

The race consists of three different loops, all starting and finishing in Troodos Square.

The first, the Prodromos loop, is about 30km, the second, the Psilo Dendro loop, is about 25km and the third, the Ayios Nikolaos loop, is also about 25km.

Runners will need head lamps for the start of the race but will be assisted before dawn by the moon (provided, of course, that it is not cloudy). Checkpoints/aid stations will be set up about midway along each of the three circular routes, depending on the terrain. Runners will pass through Troodos square, race headquarters and site of the main aid station and checkpoint, at the end of each route. Here they will have the opportunity to refresh themselves and see their supporters, family and friends before starting the next stage of their challenge.

The race consists of three different loops, all starting and finishing in Troodos Square.

A beautiful description of the geological journey of all the ultra-distance routes provided by our partners at Troodos Geopark can be found under Troodos mountain range.

All entrants will receive their very own performance headwear, custom-made for the BUFF ® Troodos Mountain Ultra 2018. Top 3 winners (male and female) will be awarded BUFF ® headwear prizes. All finishers will receive a finisher’s medal.

Entries are closed. See you in Troodos on September 22nd!
